Our family is starting to make new traditions for the holiday season. Our Christmas Eve always starts with a special dinner. And everyone helps prepare it. We have been having fondue for our Christmas Eve dinner for the past few years. The kids love cooking their own food over an open fire. Then we did something new, we made smores' outside since we moved we have a fire pit now. It was so much fun but, freezing. But, we didn't mind. While we were eating I read our last Christmas book, "" and Dad read the story of Jesus birth from the scriptures. After that we had a little fun and played, Mexican Train Dominoes. The kids are getting too good at it. After a while we went on Santa Tracker.com to see where in the world Santa was. Then to our surprise Payton got a Video email from Santa. In it he said he hopes she was a good little girl because he'd love to bring her what she wants for Christmas, An American Girl Doll. She was shocked! Then, we opened up our Christmas P.J.s and got the cookies and milk ready for Santa for him to have a snack. Then, we tucked all the kids in all snug in their beds and they had visions of Sugar Plums dancing in their heads. Later that night the Santa got to work at our house, our family was definitely on the "Nice List" this year.
