Happy Birthday Madison! You are finally a teenager, even though it feels like you have been one since you were 6. You have grown into a beautiful young woman. And more importantly, your inside definitely matches your outside. It has been such a joy watching you transform into the person you are today. You were the girl who'd rather play with Thomas the Tank Engine than play with dolls. You had (and still have) such a passion for animals and you wanted to know everything about them that you devoured research books to learn more about them. I love that you have a desire to learn new things. You have put my sewing machine and kitchen to good use!
Ever since your were born you have been close to your brother. You followed him and allowed him to take care of you, you were fine with him doing all the talking. But, for the past year, you have found your own voice! You have blossomed into a confident, outgoing girl. You are not the shy, quiet one anymore. More often I hear, "She is her Mother's Daughter". I love that. I love watching you act silly and laugh with your friends and family.
It does make me a little sad now that the girl who used to "Click-Clack" around the house in my high heels now FITS my shoes. I secretly like that you borrow my clothes! I longed for the days when my daughter would do that. I love spending time with you, you make everything better!
Sweet girl, when we look at you we just see a "Shiny" girl, full of life and enthusiasm with a bright future ahead of her. We know your life is just going to get better and better with years. And we know how fast the time goes. Please take the time to enjoy the little things that bring you joy. And just let us soak it all in with you. We love you baby, Happy Birthday!
Love,
Mom and Dad
