"Madison's First Sacrament Talk"

Since she has turned 12, see has really not looked forward to this day.  The first time being asked to speak in sacrament.  Let me explain,  Madison is my "Serene" girl.  She is  Calm, peaceful, untroubled and tranquil.  She doesn't seek the lime light, she doesn't need to be the center of attention, she doesn't jump out of her chair to be the first one to volunteer.  But, when asked to do something she doesn't shy away, she does it to her best ability.  She has been this way her whole life and I have always been proud of all she has done.  So, when she got the call that fateful day asking her to speak she gave a simple, "Yes".
She was asked to speak about the Importance of Temples in the lives of the youth.  This was perfect, since she just got her limited-use recommend and went to the temple for the first time to perform Baptisms for the Dead a few short months ago.  I was very impressed with the way she prepared for her talk. She sat down with her Dad, they said a prayer and he explained to her how to rely on the spirit for guidance when writing a talk. Then, she gathered up all our New Era and went to work looking for articles on the Temple.  She also went on-line for help. And then decided to add a few personal experiences.  I am so proud to say, she wrote the talk all by herself.  She may be quiet but, the girl always comes out shinning.  She gave her talk and bore her testimony beautifully.  Once again, she made us proud!
